So, why meet with Matt, your Wedding DJ Expert® & Professional Wedding MC BEFORE you book anyone else?
Simple. There’s two versions:
The Short Version…
You, as a Bride and Groom, are totally unique!
…and so should YOUR wedding! Having personally performed at over 1,165 weddings and ceremonies since 1989. So, whether your vision is a fun wedding in Fort Collins, a Colorado destination or Estes Park wedding, a classy wedding in Denver, a stress free wedding in Boulder, a unique and romantic Colorado wedding in Greeley, or a memorable wedding in Vail, that’s awesome! In fact, I’ve never met two Brides that are the same; I’ve never met two Brides that wanted their wedding the same; and I’ve have never performed two weddings the same!
So, it’s very important to me that I understand what YOUR vision for YOUR day is! (and if you don’t know what that vision is, that’s okay.)
I’ll gladly come to where you are. So, just pick a Starbucks nearby, and I’m there!
What I’ll do in our time together, is spend about 50 to 60 minutes to take the time to get to know the two of you; ask a lot of questions so I can learn YOUR vision for YOUR day; then, I’ll spend about 10 to 15 minutes showing you the process I go through to ensure that YOUR vision for YOUR day is exactly what you want it to be; I’ll get you a price quote; then the balance of our time is really fun part! Having personally created over 400 original and unique ideas for Newlyweds, this is where couples ask, “Gosh Matt, you’ve done so many weddings, what’s a cool, creative way of doing ____ (for example, a bouquet toss, first dance, father / daughter dance, etc)?
By the time we get done, I think you’ll understand that I absolutely LOVE what I do! I am very passionate about it! You’ll also recognize how important the experience of personally performing at 1,119 weddings is to the success of your event.
I love to be creative; work hard; take world class care of Brides and Grooms to make sure that YOUR day is classy, elegant, romantic, unique, smooth, stress-free, memorable, and most of all, fun!

I had received a recommendation for Matt from a family friend. When I looked at his site and reviews online, they were very positive, so I inquired about pricing. Not only did I get an email back from Matt, he also personally called me the same day I sent in my inquiry! He’s been very flexible, working with me on the phone since I’m planning my wedding from out of state. He’s taken time to get to know me, asking questions about what my fiancée’ and I have envisioned for our wedding/reception.
Throughout the whole booking and ‘interviewing’ process, Matt was professional and friendly. He knows what he’s talking about and provides guidance with planning while still being completely open to hearing what I have to say. In the end, his prices were comparable to other DJs, but he’s exhibited a higher standard of business operation and integrity. More than anything, I’ve relied on my gut instinct with Matt– I get a great feeling talking to him, and know my wedding reception will run smoothly in his capable guidance. I know it’s going to be a blast!!!

Subject: RE: wedding contract
The reason we decided to book Matt with Amore DJ Entertainment is because of his experience and the fact that when we met with him for the fist time he made us feel comfortable that things would run smoothly throughout our ceremony and reception. We had previously met with 2 other DJs/companies before Matt and had awful experiences. We thought finding a DJ for the wedding would be easy, but were we wrong. It had been the hardest thing so far as planning the wedding went. The first DJ/company we met with hesitated when we asked if we could meet our DJ before the wedding, plus they quoted us the wrong price. The second DJ forgot about our appointment we had setup with him and then he held our meeting in his bedroom! Then, we finally met Matt. He explained everything so well, that by the end of the meeting we really didn’t have any questions. We left our meeting with a huge weight off of our shoulders and one more thing checked off the list
…and just for fun, here’s a perspective coming from a Mother of the Bride…

Subject: selecting a DJ
Matt, money started out as my primary issue. A friend in Florida told me I shouldn’t have to spend more than $500 on a DJ. (I do not remember anything special about her reception.) So, I had sticker shock with my first interview with somebody else before meeting with you. He included lots of fancy stuff we did not need or want at much, much higher prices. You offered numerous options and add ons at much more reasonable prices. You offered good advice on things to consider and have and impressive 30 page “checklist.” Your thoughts on the cost of a DJ and the success of a wedding reception hit home, so I decided to add the ceremony to make things flow more smoothly and leave the “flow” in your capable hands. I liked the ideas you threw out as to how to make things go seamlessly and what you would do to make that happen.
I worried about people not dancing, so am glad Lindsey and Tyson gave you permission to change up the music if you need to. My daughter Lindsey can be difficult – picky, but not always willing to make the decision. That is why we gave you Tyson’s info. So, when I narrowed it down to 2 of you I gave her both websites and asked her opinion. I was leaning toward you, but did not tell her. From comparing websites she chose you. She said your site showed you played music and entertained whereas the other site seemed more self centered.
Thanks, too, for meeting us on Saturday. It was very reassuring to know Lindsey and Tyson are comfortable with you. You were a big help.
This wedding happened on a Sunday, June 13,2010…and went until 11pm with a packed dance floor! Yes, a Sunday. Words cannot explain how humbled I am with the numerous compliments, gratitude and praise throughout (and following) Lindsey and Tyson’s wedding by both the couple, their parents and guests – as happens at each and every wedding I do.
Then, here is the email Debbie sent me after the wedding.

Dear Matt,
From our first meeting to the last song, your professionalism was evident. Planning a wedding when the bride and groom are out of state is a challenge. You were more than up to the challenge. Initially, you met with me to explain your impressive 30 page “checklist”, then went over it again with Lindsey and Tyson (the bride and groom) a few months later when they were in town. I know it was very time consuming for you to have to do it twice, but it showed your willingness to take the time and energy to do things right. And, call me old fashioned, but I appreciated your professionalism-the fact that you showed up in a suit TWICE and that you wore a tux for the event showed me you take your job seriously.
Oftentimes you dealt directly with Aaron at Brookside, or Kevin the Officiant on our behalf, thus freeing me up to deal with other details. Leaving nothing to chance, you kept in touch with Lindsey and Tyson by phone or email. The event planning suggestions and sequences you implemented were great- they kept things moving flawlessly. I wasn’t expecting the Bride and Groom trivia, but it was great fun. Prior to the wedding I began to worry as to who was going to be in charge and who would co-ordinate everything. Being a perfectionist, I was relieved when I found out it was you. Your prior thoroughness set me at ease. On the day of Lindsey and Tyson’s wedding I did not worry, as I told myself Matt will take care of it. And you did. You were truly a Master of Ceremonies at an awesome wedding!
Debbie

The Long Version… (and I promise, well worth the read!)
The way I see it? Your wedding is a once in a life time event! It’s not a simple “party” where you call a few friends over, have a drink and watch the “big game.” This IS an event! Something that takes meticulous planning, preparation, and all the pieces coming together perfectly (by design), then delivered flawlessly at the right time and tempo, in a manner that reflects you AND your personalities – almost like an Orchestra Conductor for a perfect sound! That’s what I do!
Yes, YOUR Colorado wedding matters! As a professional Colorado wedding DJ, we show it by HOW we do business:
- a thorough wedding confirmation process
- consultations
- extensive checklists
- a customized wedding reception planning/confirmation packet
- detailed ceremony packet
- over 400 original and unique, creative wedding ideas
…and so much more
All coming from 1,165 weddings of PERSONAL experience!
I know, so at this point, you’re probably asking yourself…”so, isn’t a DJ just a DJ?”
No, and here’s why:
AFTER THE VOWS: “almost 100% of Brides say they would have spent more of their budget on the entertainment.”
WITHIN ONE WEEK AFTER THE RECEPTION: “78% of all Brides say they would have made the entertainment their highest priority!” Most importantly, “when asked, 81% of guests say the thing they remember most about a wedding is the entertainment above anything else.”
(These statistics were published in the St. Louis Bride & Groom magazine (2003); Simmons (2001); USA Today (2002); National Bride Service (2001), The Knot (2002); Brides Magazine (2001)
That’s huge!
Over 80% of your guests will remember the entertainment over the food, the flowers, the flavor cake, the color of the dresses, etc.? WOW!
So, who’s representing you to your guests?
THE UNPREPARED DJ
THE KNUCKLEHEAD DJ (WARNING: GRAPHIC)
THE CHEESY DJ WITH NO MICROPHONE SKILLS (not to mention the fact he has his gear on a table, and speakers on chairs)
THE DJ IN LOVE WITH HIMSELF
Translation?
Yes, the DJ your hire is “responsible” for the “success” of your event? That person represents YOU!
I welcome and want that responsibility!
What you’ll discover, is I LOVE what I do! I am so passionate about what I do! I have the best profession on the planet! I take what I do very, very seriously! Brides and Grooms that hire me, are looking for the professional, experienced and polished wedding MC/DJ to create, then maintain a seamless sequence of events; to take care of everything; play great music; be tastefully involved; and have the proven process to back up everything promised.
So, pick a nearby Starbucks, and I’ll be there.
When we meet, just ask me about…
- The 10 characteristics of every “successful” wedding?
- The fact that EVERY wedding has it’s own unique “personality,” as do you… and how to find the personality of your wedding?
- The 12 critical roles of a professional wedding MC/DJ?
- What to look for, and how to know who to hire when you find it?
Want to know this and more? Let’s meet.
When we meet, I’ll also show you:
- Why what you pay IS what you get
- Why it’s important your DJ (that exact person that is performing on YOUR day) needs to fully understand the vision for YOUR day BEFORE booking!
- 3 facts you MUST know before hiring a DJ!
- Why experience OF the specific DJ performing AT your wedding must be a Wedding Specialist and have documented experience at WEDDINGS & RECEPTIONS (not just number of events, member of a club or associaton or years in the business), and why it’s critically important to the success of your day!
- 17 MUST ask questions for the DJ BEFORE booking!
- 8 critical points that clearly demonstrate the level (and quality) of service you’ll likely receive long before you hire them…regardless of what somebody promises!
- How to avoid the BIG 3 pitfalls local Brides make when selecting a DJ!
- The secret “MUST ASK” question!
Let’s meet! I’d love to hear the vision for YOUR day! Just pick a nearby Starbucks and I’ll be there!
