A wedding set in the quaint town of Silverthorne, CO is one of the most colorful places for a fall wedding in the Rocky Mountains. As the preferred wedding DJ in Silverthorne and a familiar face in Summit County, we’ve seen weddings in just about every type of configuration there. However, James and Tori added a special charm to tell their story and reflect who they are . With a perfect fall day, set along the river, the sun at the perfect temperature surrounded by their closest friends and family, Silverthorne Pavilion wedding DJ, Amore DJ Entertainment, presents James and Tori’s wedding:
Venue: Silverthorne Town Pavilion
Wedding Ceremony, Cocktail Hour & Reception MC/DJ: Matt Martindale, Amore DJ Entertainment
Floral Design: Garden of Eden
Catering: All Seasons Catering
Photography: Leisa Gibson
Cake / Bakery: Beet Box Bakery
The celebration then began with the cocktail hour in the foyer complimented by our custom blend of “classic romance” cocktail music (Frank Sinatra, Etta James, Ray Charles, Louis Armstrong, etc.) We then moved into the main hall for introductions. Tori and James allowed us to have some fun with the introductions, doing something different…. introducing the wedding party as a group followed by our happy couple topped off by a meaningful welcome by James.
Though this was an intimate crowd of 53 people, we had created some specific moments to accent their personalities. Our goal was to set the tone of fun that was soon to come. Tori and James asked that we custom create our “Sweet Memories™” cards and our custom written “Mindbenders™ questions” during the meal. Those went awesome! The music, by design, subtly changed into a more contemporary mix of music gradually raising the tempo and energy in the room with selections that included: John Mayer, Jack Johnson, Ben Harper, Train, etc.
The meal was complete, four toasts, and a request by Tori to share a 30 second history lesson about the tradition of the wedding cake as they made their way to the cake table. Everything flowed seamless as they approached the cake table. A perfect cut, and now James and Tori prepared one of the highlights of the evening: a choreographed first dance. Tori elegantly glided along the dance floor with James leading the way. They ended with a classy dip for the finale. As they did, the room erupted in applause.
A couple of formal dances with Tori and her father, Gary. Tori shared in a dance with her grandfather, Bob, shortened to the perfect length. Tori and James wanted to honor all the married couples with the anniversary dance (aka “longest married couple” dance) honoring her grandparents with her bouquet. It was the perfect gesture of loving kindness. The room gradually grew in tempo and energy, lots of smiles, laughter and dancing, only to be topped by our groom, James, and several fellas doing their rendition of the Backstreet Boys and NSYNC on the stage. With the weather nearly perfect, this was one of the most memorable weddings I’ve had all year long. Thanks James and Tori for having us!
